Pierre A. Maroun is a graduate of Master of Arts in History from Youngstown State University; he has a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Kent State University; and he received a certificate on Terrorism & counterterrorism from Georgetown University. He is presently an International Business Consultant. Maroun was an Adjunct Professor of Critical Thinking & Business Ethics at Southern Ohio College; he was also a Foreign Language Instructor at Kent State University. In addition, Maroun was a legislative assistant to congressman Phil English (R-RA) in his office on Capitol Hill; in 1996, he received a Special Congressional Recognition Certificate from the United States Congress. As a political analyst, Maroun appeared on many Int’l TVs and radios, i.e. Fox News, Venezuelan EPTV, Al-Horra, MTV, Radio WKNY1490 New York, Radio Charity, Australia, & Radio Mont Liban, Los Angeles.

Mr. Maroun has been an advocate of the Lebanese cause throughout his life. Thus, after the blast of the Port of Beirut on August 4th, 2020, Maroun, through Shields of United Lebanon, INC (SOUL), organized a three-day conference for Lebanon in Washington DC, and simultaneously in Beirut. The main objective was to bring the voices of the Lebanese opposition/Thawra to Washington, DC, and to unite the Lebanese diaspora in defense of Lebanon. Currently, through SOUL and the Lebanese American Coordinating Committee (LACC), he continues his fight for a free, independent, & sovereign Lebanon by coordinating efforts with a group of international organizations and activists.
